Quandela is a leader in the development and commercialisation of quantum computing solutions based on the manipulation of single photons. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated full-time (permanent contract – CDI) Quantum Optics Engineer to join us for the development of quantum light emitting devices. As a Quantum Optics Engineer, you will be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology, contributing to the development and improvement of state-of-the-art semiconductor single-photon sources. At Quandela, we are committed to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the world of quantum technology, and as a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects that have the potential to revolutionize the field.Short-term responsibilitiesPerform performance characterization and benchmarking of single-photon emitting devices.Provide rapid feedback on the key metric of devices to cross-functional teams.Develop software tools to control and automate the optical systems.Systematically document the results and report your findings.Long-term responsibilitiesOptimize the device characterization pipeline by improving the workflow, adapting the optical tools, and developing advanced characterization techniques.Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in semiconductor quantum optics, contributing to the knowledge base within the organization.Investigate new approaches to optimally address solid-state quantum emitters.Contribute to the development of entangled-photons emitting devices RequirementsMaster degree and 3 years experience in a relevant research laboratory.Laboratory experience with solid-state quantum emitters and experimental optics.Strong fundamentals in quantum optics and optical microscopy techniques.Proven ability to build and run complex optical experiments from the ground up.Software development using Python or other common languages.Team player with an ability to work effectively across multiple projects and departments.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independentlyAbility to maintain an organized, frequent, and clear reporting.A diverse, dynamic, challenging, international team and environment.All means necessary to carry-out high-impact projects.Strong potential for fast career development within a rapidly growing company. #J-18808-Ljbffr
