Palmer Johnson is looking for an experienced Yacht Project Engineer in our Monaco head office.Type:Full-TimeExperience:Mid-senior levelLocation:MonacoJOB DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the yacht project engineer is able to create 2D & 3D design CAD, liaising with other departments within the team. Responsible for analysing 3D data and engineering drawings and information from outside sources, development of internal documents and drawings for purchasing and production.Collaborate with the Senior Engineers to create more efficient methods and maintain profitability.Develop the specifications for all equipment that is required for each project. Such as 2D drawings and BOMs for purchasing.Create the framework used to develop and monitor project metrics and manage the collection of project data.Formulate realistic parameters for each project, including design elements and implementation procedures.Establish the methods by which all field tests are administered and develop various ways to monitor the quality of those testsGeneral knowledge of all engineering system engineering and operations:Composite structureNaval architecture (CE rules, weight tracking and stability calculation are a must)Mechanical and prolusion systemsElectricalAir conditioning and all yacht systemsEngine room safety management (ISM)InsulationDeck fitting and integration engineeringBachelor’s Degree in Naval or Mechanical Engineering or related field required4+ years in yachting engineering and project planning experienceMust have strong English written and verbal communication skillsSoftware required: SolidWorks, Rhino, AutoCAD, Micosoft Office Suite #J-18808-Ljbffr
