Chief Program Officer

Our Client are seeking an experienced Chief Program Officer (CPO) to oversee and lead all program management activities across the aviation and defense sectors throughout Europe.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Create and put into action program plans that support the company's objectives in all business domains, including cybersecurity, aerospace, defence systems, and aviation technology.
• Oversee a broad range of programs, making sure they are completed on schedule, on budget, and to the highest possible levels of quality.
• Act as the main point of contact for important parties, such as governmental organisations, defence contractors, and business associates, to facilitate efficient communication and teamwork.
• Supervise the distribution of resources, such as staff, funds, and technology, to guarantee the best possible program outcomes.
• Determine and reduce program execution risks while making sure that all applicable laws and guidelines are followed throughout Europe.
• Encourage program development innovation by concentrating on cutting-edge technology including unmanned systems, hydrogen-powered aircraft, and next-generation defence systems.
• Oversee and coach a group of experienced program managers, encouraging a culture of excellence and ongoing development.

Your Qualifications and Requirements:

• 10+ years of program management experience, including at least five years in a senior capacity in the aerospace or defence sectors.
• Broad understanding of the European aviation and defence industries.
• A track record of successfully overseeing intricate, international programs.
• Excellent negotiating, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Preference is given to those with experience with cutting-edge aviation technologies, such as autonomous systems and hydrogen propulsion.
• It would be beneficial to be familiar with European defence standards and regulations.
• PgMP or PMP certification is a plus.
