Job Requirements / Description
Postdoc at the Ecole Normale Superieure – light-sheet imaging and neuronal circuit dynamicsThe lab uses the zebrafish larva as the experimental model in combination with two-photon calcium imaging and light-sheet microscopy (SPIM) to monitor the dynamics of large neuronal networks, behavioural essays, optogenetics to monitor and manipulate the activity of specific neurons or entire circuits, and mathematical methods for the analysis of high-dimensional large datasets.Using this multidisciplinary approach we mainly focus on the spontaneous dynamics of large neuronal circuits and their relationship to behaviour. One postdoctoral position requires a solid background in optics. For the second position, good knowledge in mathematics, physics or computer science are important. Both candidates should have a strong interest in computational neuroscience and neuronal circuit dynamics. The ERC-funded positions have 3 years of initial funding with the possibility for extension.Candidates should send a CV, a letter of motivation, and the names of potential referees in a single PDF file to Germán Sumbre (sumbre @biologie. ens.fr)Jouary A et al.
