We are proud of our diversity and see it as a genuine source of strength for building high-performing teams.Key responsibilitiesFrench Sites – Assuring the compliance of the French Legislation (document unique, training, medical check-ups, coordination with work councils, etc.) in all French Sites (offices, depots, and warehouses).Advise the business in a timely manner on all HSE legislative and best practice development.Manage Maersk HSE requirements at an area level.Ensure coordination of ‘Site HSSE focal points’ work and their application of Maersk HSE standards including maintaining an overview of all sites within the area geography. However, being a French speaker, the focus will be France and the Maghreb countries.Interpret the Corporate HSE strategy to co-create appropriate plans at Area and site level considering the risk profile, regulatory framework, and business drivers.Empower and enable Operational team members with day-to-day responsibility to implement HSE related activities (management, implementation, assessment, and training) whilst understanding and managing the implications of change to risks in the Area.Assure critical controls are identified and a control effectiveness and maintenance plans are developed and implementedProvide technical expertise, strategic leadership, and support across the functionalities.Support the ALT, Managers and Leaders to develop their responsibilities listed in the Maersk HSE Policy Statement.Influence stakeholders within the SWE Area to support HSE in all their decision-making process.Lead by example, ensuring compliance with local HSE policies & procedures, enforcing safe working practices, and promoting a safe workplace Verifying that work is completed in compliance with legislation and in conformance with Maersk HSE framework.Train, coach, and support management to complete HSE Gembas.Partner with central sustainability team and Centre HSE to drive initiatives towards environment management.We’re looking for:Required: Master Degree in HSE, Intervenants en Prévention des Risques Professionnels (IPRP) or Diploma in Prévention SST.Valuable: Environmental ScienceHave robust knowledge of French HSE legislations applicable to logistics industry and supply chain3 years + of experience in HSE, at an advisory level, in warehouses and logistics industry and supply chainA strong passion for keeping our people safe and desire to ensure that; ‘Maersk is a safe place to work’Understand how to adapt logistics activities, flows, relationships, and address constraintsAbility to drive initiatives through cross functional teams and to drive alignment with the key stakeholdersFacilitation skills and ability to influenceAble to work autonomously and as part of a teamFluency in English (minimum B2) and French (mother tongue)Available to travel – Europe and MaghrebYou will be based in France (Le Havre, Villeneuve-d’Ascq, Boulogne-Billancourt or Marseille, at your preference)Maersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
