Role Responsibilities
The successful applicant's general responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
RAM Analysis
Perform reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) studies to support the bid, design phase, and operational phases
Ensure that RAM models are kept up to date during the operating life cycle to achieve an optimum balance between cost and availability/reliability
Manage RAM subcontractors including scope of work development, technical/commercial bid evaluation, and technical management during works
Support project team during FPSO risk assessment study to ensure that equipment with the highest availability impact are identified and help evaluate the risk mitigation strategy for high-risk areas
Reliability Data Evaluation
Implement advanced methodologies for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting reliability data from various sources
Develop statistical models and trending techniques to identify patterns, anomalies, and potential failure modes
Support the development of the SBM Reliability Data Bank containing all reliability data for Equipment Types and Failure modes based on SBM fleet i.e. SBM’s version of the OREDA database
Management System, Documentation, and Reporting
Support the development of SBM internal standards, work processes, guidelines, and instructions
Maintain thorough documentation of reliability analyses, actions taken, and lessons learned
Prepare regular reports and presentations for leadership, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations for continuous improvement
Support business cases for RAM-related projects, outlining the financial implications and anticipated returns
Job Requirements
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Proven experience as a Reliability Engineer with a focus on RAM with 8 years of experience. Proven success in utilizing RAM strategies to optimize asset performance and reduce downtime. Proficiency in reliability analysis tools and methodologies. Strong understanding of maintenance strategies and asset management principles. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams.
Personal: Analytical mindset for deciphering complex RAM data. Detail-oriented approach in identifying nuances within reliability analyses. Strong problem-solving skills to address root causes effectively.
Leadership: Good levels of written and spoken communication. Ability to lead international and multicultural teams.
Technical: Proficiency in RAM modeling and simulation tools. Familiarity with IT/CMMS systems for data collection and analysis.
