Crown was founded with the goal of valuing and promoting sustainability and this vision continues to be essential to our long-term future.About this opportunityThis is an outstanding opportunity for a structured and analytical Finance professional to step up and join our Internal Audit team at Crown, based in our offices in Saint-Ouen, close to Paris (France).The IA department, along with the Board, Executive Management, and the External Auditors, is a corporate governance cornerstone of Crown Holdings, Inc. In addition to its mission of giving assurance on the Company’s control framework, it also contributes to our continuous improvement process. The Internal Audit department reports to the Audit Committee, which ensures its independence and objectivity.Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, this role primarily covers our entities across the EMEA region. These include sites focused on the manufacture of Beverage Packaging under Crown and Transit Packaging under our sister-company Signode. Occasionally this role may also support missions in APAC and the Americas.Role PurposeThe department evaluates the risk exposures relating to the organisation’s governance, operations, and information systems with four objectives as per the COSO II framework:Strategic - high-level orientations and objectives set by the entityOperations - effective and efficient use of the entity’s resourcesReporting - reliability of financial statementsCompliance - with laws and regulationsMain ResponsibilitiesPerform financial and operational audits of plants, operations, projects, and systems in line with the Internal Audit PlanPlan and execute audits in accordance with audit standards, plans, budgets, and schedulesReport audit findings (in good written English) and make recommendations for reducing risk, improving operations, reducing cost, and ensuring compliance with Company policyPerform special reviews and participate in projects at the request of managementAbide by the department’s Code of EthicsTravel at least 40% of the time to complete fieldworkRelevant Qualifications and ExperienceIdeally a qualified accountant or equivalently qualified by experience in FinanceExperience of integrated ERP systems such as JDE and SAPFull driving license requiredExperience of manufacturing processes would be advantageous but is not requiredRequired Skills and CompetenciesGood level of written English and operational level of spoken English, additional languages (e.g., Spanish, French, German, Arabic, etc.) would be a distinct advantageExcellent analytical skillsStrong presentation and communication skillsCalm under pressure, able to deal with challenging circumstancesAble to be decisive and assertive, supporting your opinion when challengedAble to take initiativeA true team playerAble to demonstrate a coherent and precise thought processOpen to new ideas, able to learn new processes rapidlyCapable of conducting work in an independent, objective, transparent, and timely mannerWhat Crown Offers YouThe opportunity to build a career in a multi-cultural environmentTo be rewarded fairly and promoted based on merit and performanceProfessional and personal development through training and work experiencesStrong engagement and commitment to the safety of our employeesJoin us and become part of an international team of professionals who are passionate about sustainable packaging!Working TogetherAccessibility, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion are key features of Crown’s culture of Working Together.
