Field Service Engineer

The candidate application data is kept on the career site servers and sent en-mass back to the Workday tenant when the user clicks submit on the last step. Once the user hits submit, we make POST requests with that data to multiple REST end-points sending the job application back to the Workday tenant). In practice, this includes:25% preparing quotations and client relations.25% project management (preparing and monitoring the material orders, managing subcontractors’, and organizing site work for project execution).50% supervising on site works (troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, preparation of machine shutdowns).In this role, you'll leverage troubleshooting skills to enhance equipment reliability, support sales initiatives, and act as a technical advisor. Working closely with on-site client teams, you'll represent our company independently or as part of a Valmet professional team.Your responsibilities include providing technical support and guidance for maintenance, repair, and upgrades, overseeing cases from inception to delivery. Success in this position hinges on exceptional customer service, continuous follow-up, and active participation in establishing long-term partnerships. As part of Valmet's strategic growth, our Field Services cover process, mechanical, and automation services.This role involves travel and client visits, vital for successful business development.To succeed in this role, you will need:Technical high school degree in maintenance or mechanical engineering.Strong mechanical skills.Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role preferably in heavy industry or in paper industry.Winders’ knowledge will be consider a plus.Ability of working on site.Analytical and reporting skills.Motivation and ability to achieve results.Team spirit and customer service orientation are essential.Excellent organizational and communication skills.Fluent in French (mother tongue or C2 level) and English (B1); or fluent in Italian, French (B2), and English (B1).Valid driver's license and availability to travel up to 50%/70% non-consecutive working days.  When everything works together  Valmet is where the best talent from a wide variety of backgrounds comes together.
