We are open for candidates from countries in Europe where SPX FLOW has an entity: Poland, Denmark, France, Germany, Netherlands, Luxemburg, Belgium, United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Czech Republic.About the roleAs an Installation & Commissioning Engineer you have overall responsibility and are answerable for all commissioning activities in relation to your specific assignment at SPX FLOW’s client site. You would be responsible for the instrumentation setup and troubleshooting any mechanical, hydraulic, thermal and electrical failure. You would also be starting the plants up including the utilities, and you will be in charge of overseeing that the contractual performances are met from physical and process standpoints.You would be accountable for enabling the customer to start their first production with a plant cleaned, sterile (if required) and secured (qualified) from a process perspective. The products that you will be working with are milk, whey, UF permeate, buttermilk and white water; therefore, previous experience in the dairy industry is desirable. You will have previous experience working with membrane technology, using ceramic and polymer (spiral) membranes for:Microfiltration - bacteria and spore removal, protein fractionation, whey defattingUltrafiltration - protein standardization, milk protein concentration, UF cheeseNanofiltration - demineralisation and concentrationReverse Osmosis - concentration, you will use ceramic membrane and polymer (spiral) membraneAbout your responsibilities at SPX FlowProceeds with weekly commissioning reviews and provides the CTL or Site Manager with a weekly reportResponsible for providing Site Manager with final commissioning report before leaving siteOwnership of the following process: Installation Qualification, Start-up, Operational Qualification support, Documentation management (including updating), Performance Qualification support, Customer trainingAbout youMechanical, Industrial or Construction Engineering background with 1-2 years’ experience in membrane technology (microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, reverse osmosis) – ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTHaving previous experiences in commissioning processes in the food industry - or similarFamiliar with implementation of instrumentation (flow, pressure, temperature) valves, pumps, heat exchangers and membranesVery good written and verbal communication skills in EnglishExperience with building customer relationshipsUnderstanding information from Site manager, customer for managing start-up, various tests, production phases, installationExperience with milk chemistry (fat, protein) desirableAble to travel 80% of your time to our clients worldwideAbout your benefitsHome office options and flexible working to accommodate all employeesPerformance & recognition programsBonus structures (depending on company and personal performance)Family friendly policiesGenuine progression and development opportunities with a global organizationHealthy minds and healthy lives resourcesAdditional benefits according to SPX schemes in the country of your residenceApplication Question(s):Are you legally authorised to work in the European Union?Work Location: In person #J-18808-Ljbffr
