Lead Software Engineer – Cloud Team

Alice & Bob are a deep tech company going through an R&D stage to build the first fault-tolerant Quantum Computer. We secured 30 million USD in funding to further develop our unique technology.We are a young team with some of the brightest scientific minds joining us straight from completing their PhD or university. Do you want to join a team that is trying to change the world?We are looking for an experienced software team leader to guide our development efforts as we are preparing to onboard our first users on our technology. Your role will be to understand the internal and external requirements, work with the Product Manager assigned to this effort to make informed architectural decisions, coordinate with the Experimental and Theory teams, and drive the development of the application. You will be the technical lead of the team.ResponsibilitiesInternal expert when it comes to architecture, designing and developing the systems allowing end-users to connect to our quantum chips.API definition and development.Service orchestration.Integration with partners.Be the technical point of contact for our relevant partners.Lead the team to deliver the “cloud” roadmap of the company.Weekly 1-on-1s with members of the team.Monitoring training and progress of each member of the team.RequirementsStrong background in backend software engineering (Python-first stack).Familiarity with GCP or equivalent.Familiarity with DevOps type technologies such as Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, etc. – Kubernetes a plus.Solid maths and physics background, to be able to interact with physicists from the experimental team and users.Ability to elaborate product and technical roadmaps in collaboration with the product team.Proven track record building SaaS products.5+ years of experience.Beneficial: Experience as a manager, background in quantum physics, knowledge of quantum computing/quantum algorithms is an asset.You will join one of the most innovative startups in France at an early stage, to be part of a passionate and friendly team on its mission to build the first universal quantum computer!We love to share and learn from one another, so you will be certain to innovate, develop new ideas, and have the space to grow. #J-18808-Ljbffr
